Velvet Corner Sofas

Velvet corner sofas are for when you want the room to feel soft, stylish, and a bit “where did you get that?” without turning it into a no sitting zone. The texture catches the light, the corner shape gives everyone space, and the whole setup feels instantly more considered. If Corner Sofas solve the seating problem and Fabric Sofas feel like your comfort lane, the velvet sofa buying guide helps you choose the finish without guessing at Sofabase.

I find the sofa very comfortable with good back support in its regular position and I like the adjustable head rests. The thick arm rests are nice for leaning on. The extension is very smooth on my carpet with the remote control (you only get one to share), but if sitting with it extended you do have to slouch otherwise you end up sitting over the join between the back sections which is a bit hard which is where I've dropped a star. The fabric is nice and soft with a slight texture. It isn't completely taut (not really baggy, just not taut) over the seat cushions so I hope this doesn't affect the longevity as I suspect due to the style and sliding mechanism it might be tricky to re-cover. I can't comment on the longevity of the sliding mechanism as I have only just got it. I hope it lasts as it was a job getting it into my house. It comes in two halves with the headrests separate. Had a nervous week as I new my door was narrow. My doorway is 73cm and the delivery team JUST got the sections through at an angle with the feet taken off, but the room was open from there so if you have narrow corridors etc you might struggle unless you have a bigger door.

Just had ours delivered!

It is absolutely perfect, very comfy, comes with the Cushions in the images!

Perfect a a spare double bed if you have unexpected guests stay over!!

If your worried that this appears cheap, don't be, it is a bargain. it is a very heavy well made sofa, not at all a cheaper alternative. We saw a virtually identical models in DFS and Sofolgy for nearly £1000 more!

100% recommend if a power slider is your thing!

Soft Texture, Big Room Energy

Velvet has that soft focus effect in real life. It catches the light, adds depth, and makes the room feel styled without needing loads of extras. If you want Corner Sofas with more personality, this is where velvet earns the attention.

Space That Feels More Styled

A corner layout already gives you the seating win, but velvet makes it feel more intentional. It is for family lounging, guests, and the person who claims the corner seat before anyone else gets a chance.

Care That Keeps It Looking Fresh

Velvet likes a bit of attention, not drama. A gentle vacuum, soft brush, and quick clean when spills happen can keep it looking good. If you are comparing softer Fabric Sofas, velvet gives you texture with a little extra care.

FAQs

Are velvet corner sofas good for everyday use?

Velvet corner sofas can work well for everyday use when cared for correctly. Regular gentle vacuuming, brushing the pile, and dealing with marks early help keep the fabric looking fresh.

Do velvet sofas show marks easily?

Velvet can show pressure marks or shading because the pile moves with touch and light. This is normal for velvet and can often be softened with light brushing or regular care.

Do corner sofas work well in velvet?

Corner sofas work well in velvet because the larger shape lets the fabric create depth and softness across the room. Always measure width, depth, and walkways before choosing.
