What's covered?

Your Sofabase warranty covers manufacturing defects for 1 year from delivery, ensuring the build quality of your sofa is protected. Where applicable, selected models also include a 5 year or 25 year structural frame warranty covering inherent faults in the internal frame, subject to assessment. If a valid manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will resolve it through repair, replacement, or replacement parts, depending on what is most appropriate.

What's not covered?

The Sofabase warranty is designed to protect against genuine manufacturing defects, giving you confidence in the build quality of your sofa. As with all upholstered furniture, materials will naturally settle and soften over time with regular use, which is a normal characteristic rather than a fault. The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper care, or external environmental factors, ensuring it remains focused on true defects in workmanship and construction.

Not covered under the warranty:

  • General wear and tear, including softening or flattening of cushions
  • Fading or discolouration caused by sunlight or environmental exposure
  • Accidental damage or misuse
  • Improper cleaning or failure to follow care guidance
  • Damage caused by pets
  • Exposure to damp, humidity, or unsuitable environments
  • Minor components such as fittings or decorative elements
  • Adjustments required after installation
  • Damage occurring after delivery due to handling or use
  • Commercial or non domestic use
How do i make a claim?

Making a claim is simple and straightforward. If you believe there is a fault, contact our customer support team with your order number, a clear description of the issue, add photos or videos showing the problem. Our team will review your claim and may request additional information if needed. In some cases, particularly after 6 months, an independent inspection may be required to confirm a manufacturing defect. Once assessed, we will guide you through the next steps and provide the most appropriate resolution.

Who is the warranty valid for?

The Sofabase warranty is issued to the original purchaser and is linked to the order, not the product itself. This means it is non transferable and remains valid only for the person who placed the order.

You can absolutely buy a sofa as a gift for a friend. However, the warranty will still sit under your name as the purchaser. If any claim is needed, it would need to be raised through you using your order details.

What if my sofa was damaged on delivery?

If your sofa arrives damaged, it’s important to report it at the time of delivery while the team is still present. Any visible damage should be clearly noted with the delivery team before signing, so it can be logged immediately and resolved as quickly as possible.

If damage is reported and recorded at delivery, we will assess the issue and arrange the most appropriate resolution, whether that’s a repair, replacement part, or a replacement sofa.

If damage is reported after the delivery team has left and no issue was recorded at the time, we may need to carry out further investigation, and the claim may not be accepted without supporting evidence from delivery.
