How long will my order take to arrive?

Most Sofabase sofas are delivered quickly and without fuss.

In stock sofas are typically delivered from seven to ten working days. Made to order sofas usually take four to eight weeks, depending on the model. Some may take up to twelve weeks, as they are crafted specifically for you.

All products display an estimated delivery lead time on the product page so you know what to expect before ordering.

Where do Sofabase deliver?

We currently deliver across England, Wales, and parts of Scotland.

We do not deliver to Northern Ireland or the following postcodes:

HS, KA27–28, KW15–17, PA41–78, PH41–44, PO30–41, TR21–25, ZE, BT

How much does delivery and assembly cost?

England and Wales
£129 per delivery, including room of choice delivery and assembly.

Scotland
£199 per delivery, including room of choice delivery and assembly.

Please note that once items are dispatched, delivery charges become non refundable.

How much does delivery cost for care kits and fabric swatches?

England, Wales and Scotland: Free via Royal Mail First Class

Only one delivery charge applies per order.

On the Day of Delivery

What happens on delivery day?

Our delivery team will contact you to arrange a delivery date. A delivery window will usually be provided shortly before arrival.

Our team will deliver your sofa into the room of your choice and assemble it. You will be asked to inspect the sofa before signing the delivery note.

Packaging is usually removed by our delivery team as part of the service. We recommend keeping any packaging until you have fully inspected your item and are completely happy with it, as it may be needed if a return is required.

If anything does not look right, please flag it immediately so we can resolve it.

Will the drivers give me notice before delivery?

Yes. Our delivery partner will contact you to arrange your delivery date, and a delivery window is usually provided shortly before arrival so you know when to expect your sofa.

Can I change my delivery date?

Yes. You can reschedule your delivery by contacting us before your order is dispatched. Once dispatched, changes may incur a re delivery fee.

Missed Deliveries & Changes

What if I miss my delivery?

If a delivery is missed, refused on arrival, or cancelled within seventy two hours of dispatch, a re delivery fee applies. Once paid, we will arrange a new delivery date with you.

What if I need to change my delivery date?

If you need to change your delivery date, please contact us seventy two hours before dispatch. Changes made with less notice will incur a re delivery fee according to your location.

Access & Fit

What if my sofa does not fit?

Sofas and large furniture items can be difficult to manoeuvre, so we recommend checking your room measurements, access routes, staircases and doorways before placing your order. Whilst most of our sofas are designed to fit through standard UK doorways, it remains the customer’s responsibility to ensure the sofa can be delivered safely into the property.

If you are unsure whether a product will fit through your access points, our team will be happy to help review measurements before you order or read our measurement guide.

If the sofa cannot be delivered due to access issues and needs to be returned to the warehouse or re delivered, a re-delivery fee applies according to your area.

Doorstep delivery can be chosen, but we cannot accept liability for damage caused while attempting to move the sofa into your property.

Will you deliver through a window?

No. We do not offer window access, crane lifts, or specialist delivery services. All deliveries must be made through safe, standard access routes.

Before or After Delivery

Does Sofabase remove my old sofa?

Yes, we offer an optional sofa removal service for £150.This must be selected and confirmed at least seventy two hours before your delivery is dispatched so our delivery partner can prepare for collection.If you prefer to dispose of your sofa yourself, you may also consider donating it to organisations such as the British Heart Foundation, where suitable.

What if my sofa arrives damaged?

Please inspect your sofa on delivery. Any visible damage must be reported and the item refused before signing the delivery note.

Signed deliveries cannot later be accepted for visible damage claims.

If a manufacturing fault appears after delivery, it may be covered under your warranty following review and photographic evidence.
