Care & Maintenance

Spills
Act fast. Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth. Avoid rubbing as this can spread the stain. For best results, use the Sofabase Care Kit designed for safe upholstery cleaning.

General Cleaning
Vacuum regularly to remove dust and debris. For marks or light stains, gently spot clean with a mild, tested cleaner. Avoid soaking the fabric as excess moisture can damage upholstery.

Protection
Keep your sofa out of direct sunlight. Avoid damp areas and use throws where needed to protect high use areas.

For the best long term care, we recommend the Sofa Care Kit for safe everyday maintenance. For complete peace of mind, protect your sofa with our Sofa Armour+ 6 Year Care Plan, covering accidental spills, stains and everyday mishaps. Learn more about Sofa Armour+.

FAQs

Does the wireless charging work with Android phones as well as iPhones?

Yes. The wireless charging pad supports all Qi compatible devices, which includes the majority of modern Android smartphones as well as iPhones from iPhone 8 onwards. If your device supports wireless charging it will work on the Owen console pad without any adapters or cables required.

Is Cyber Grey a practical colour for a fully featured recliner sofa?

Very. Cyber Grey is one of the most practical colour choices for a recliner sofa that sees heavy daily use. The cool mid grey tone is naturally forgiving of everyday marks, light wear and the kind of regular contact that a feature rich recliner sofa inevitably experiences. It also photographs exceptionally well in modern living room settings.

Can both seats recline independently on the Owen 2 seater?

Yes. Each seat has its own independent one touch recline button, so both occupants can recline to their own preferred position simultaneously without affecting the other seat. This is one of the most important practical features of a power recliner sofa for couples or households where comfort preferences differ.

How close to a wall does the Owen 2 seater need to be positioned?

Power recliner sofas require clearance behind the sofa to allow the mechanism to extend when reclining. The exact clearance required is listed in the product specification tab. Unlike some manual recliners, the Owen power mechanism reclines with a more controlled forward motion that requires less wall clearance than traditional recliner designs, but some space behind is still needed.

I find the sofa very comfortable with good back support in its regular position and I like the adjustable head rests. The thick arm rests are nice for leaning on. The extension is very smooth on my carpet with the remote control (you only get one to share), but if sitting with it extended you do have to slouch otherwise you end up sitting over the join between the back sections which is a bit hard which is where I've dropped a star. The fabric is nice and soft with a slight texture. It isn't completely taut (not really baggy, just not taut) over the seat cushions so I hope this doesn't affect the longevity as I suspect due to the style and sliding mechanism it might be tricky to re-cover. I can't comment on the longevity of the sliding mechanism as I have only just got it. I hope it lasts as it was a job getting it into my house. It comes in two halves with the headrests separate. Had a nervous week as I new my door was narrow. My doorway is 73cm and the delivery team JUST got the sections through at an angle with the feet taken off, but the room was open from there so if you have narrow corridors etc you might struggle unless you have a bigger door.

Just had ours delivered!

It is absolutely perfect, very comfy, comes with the Cushions in the images!

Perfect a a spare double bed if you have unexpected guests stay over!!

If your worried that this appears cheap, don't be, it is a bargain. it is a very heavy well made sofa, not at all a cheaper alternative. We saw a virtually identical models in DFS and Sofolgy for nearly £1000 more!

100% recommend if a power slider is your thing!
